Fun Bridal Shower Games to play

We have all been to those bridal showers that dragged on and on because of a slow moving and boring shower games. Don't let that be your Bridal Shower. You need a fun bridal shower game to play. Think back to the best bridal shower you have been to and what games they played, if you can't remember just call or email the bride, she will remember for sure. Or just check our handy list of bridal shower games to play below. Have fun!

1. Design The Wedding Dress Shower Game
Have several rolls of white toilet paper available for the party. Divide the guests into two or more groups of 3-5 people. Each group must choose a model for their wedding dress (mothers of the bride and/or groom work wonderfully). The goal is for each group to design and fashion a "wedding dress" out of toilet paper. Accessories are allowed (earrings, bouquets, trains, headpieces, wedding ring, etc.), but they must all be fashioned out of toilet paper. Once the groups are finished, the bride must pick the winner of the contest. Brides love this contest for the wonderful photo-memories it provides.

2. Bridal Couple Trivia Shower Game
Have some questions about the bride and/or groom ready to be asked and see how many people "really" know their about-to-be wed friends. (questions can include things like how they met, what was the first job that the bride held, the groom's middle name... you get the idea)

3. Two Truths and a Lie
Each guest introduces herself, and tells the group three things about herself; two are true, one is a lie. Guests then write down, or shout out which one they think is a lie. If a guest is shy, the host should whisper in her ear some ideas for the lie.

4. The Clothespin Game
To begin, choose a "buzz word" such as bride, groom, wedding, etc. When each guest comes into the party, hand them a clothespin. Then, if someone hears another person saying the "buzz word," they get to take that person's clothespin. The person with the most clothespins at the end of the party wins.

5. Bridal Shower Bingo
Bridal Shower Bingo is a classic fun game that everyone can play! You need to create a Bingo card template, customize each card with bridal gifts, honeymoon vacations or items relating to the wedding. The hard part is making all the cards different and coming up with the ideas for each square. To play, hand out a Bingo sheet to each guest and include items to cover each bingo square. Use a pen if you plan to play once, but use pennies or buttons if you plan to play more than once. One person will then call out an item that may be listed on the Bingo sheet and if the player has the item on the sheet they cover it. Once someone has 5 in a row (Bingo). They win!

6. Lucky Coin Shower Game
Take a coin and tape it securely to the underside of a chair. At an appropriate moment during the party ask the guests to look underneath the seat of their chair. The guest who is sitting on the lucky chair and finds the coin is the winner of the game and receives a small prize. This could be a prettily presented candle, some chocolates or candy, a bookmark, a small potted plant, potpourri or any other small gift of your choice.

7. Pass The Balloon
Play some music, perhaps some wedding music or love songs. Then ask all the guests to stand up and to pass around a balloon. Every now and then the hostess stops the music. The guest who is holding the balloon when the music stops has to sit down. The music is then restarted and the balloon is passed on again. This continues until the last guest is left standing and is the winner of the game and a small bridal shower prize.

8. Famous Couples
With this game write a list of one half of a famous couple, real life and fictitious - guests try to guess the other half of the couple. For instance the couples could be Michael Douglas and Katherine Zeta Jones, Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Baucall, Popeye and Olive Oyl, George W Bush and Laura, Napoleon and Josephine, Nelson and Lady Hamilton, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, Prince Ranier and Grace Kelly, Homer and Marge Simpson, Al Gore and Tipper, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Fred and Wilma Flintstone; and so forth. Guests fill out the answers in a note pad. The guest with the most correct answers receives a small prize.

9. Icebreaker
Make a set of ID cards with the names of famous wives. They could be actors, politicians, singers or anyone in the news. As each guest arrives at the bridal shower, tape the ID on her back so she doesn't know who she is. The game is that everyone has to guess their own identity by asking others questions. The others only need to reply in a yes or a no. This is a great way to get your guests mingling. Variation: If you are having a theme bridal shower, use names of famous wives related to the theme. The famous wives don't always have to be real people. They could be famous fictional and cartoon characters as well.

10. Honeymoon
As the bride-to-be unwraps her gifts (she is sure to be preoccupied with her new toaster, espresso set and bed linens, etc.) grab a pen and paper, pay careful attention to the comments she makes and write down each remark. When the presents have all been opened and the oohs and ahs have come to an end, let the group know you have an announcement to make: "I have it on good authority that the bride will shout the following statements in the heat of passion on her wedding night." Then read her comments aloud and be sure to add a sassy enthusiasm that will be sure to make her blush.
